Menu Design

The menu features dedicated English and Japanese versions to accommodate a diverse range of guests. This bilingual approach ensures clarity and inclusivity, while the interface remains intuitive and visually engaging with clean typography and appetite-stimulating imagery.

Reflection

Designing Kizuna was a masterclass in balancing brand heritage with modern digital utility. The project reinforced that dining companion apps aren't just transactional tools—they are digital extensions of the restaurant's physical atmosphere.

By building a bilingual interface, I realized that accessibility extends far beyond screen readers and contrast checks; it is also about language, cultural comfort, and reducing cognitive load in active dining environments. Streamlining the ordering and reservation processes showed that the most successful designs are those that step back, allowing the food, connection, and heritage to take center stage.
